Drum Corps International

Drum Corps International is a non-profit organization that produces outdoor drum corps competitions. Drum Corps usually consist of colorguard, frontline ensemble, drumline, and brass instrumentation. Held during the summer months, groups start the summer with “spring training” in May and early June. They then proceed to compete in the DCI tour until World Championships in August at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, IN. DCI has three classes–open, world class, and all age class. While the first two classes have a member age cap of 21, all age class has performers of all ages. They all compete against other groups in their respective classes.
