It’s finally here!
My name is Courtney, the founder of Simply Colorguard. Simply Colorguard started as a website to promote transparency within the marching arts but we have officially launched spin school–the first of its kind, online colorguard training membership for both instructors and performers.
Colorguard has been a huge part of my life for over a decade, and although the form it’s taken in my life has changed, it’s still a HUGE part of me.
However, my journey at the beginning wasn’t easy. When I was first starting out, I didn’t have an instructor (and trust me, I needed the help, haha!). We tried our best by going to clinics, watching youtube videos, and seeing what our competitors were doing. However, it wasn’t enough. We couldn’t afford (or even find) an instructor and as a result, our colorguard growth was stunted–we felt hopeless in our growth as students and performers.
Auditions are expensive, good clinics can be hard to find, and not all programs, students, and new instructors can afford the quality education they need. It’s time we finally lowered the barrier to entry and created a more accessible way to learn colorguard.
It will cover everything from skills, where to get equipment, how to tape equipment, designing, and more! It’s in it’s launch phase right now, so content is slowly rolling out, but new content is added each month. All of our instructors have world class backgrounds and over a decade of experience in the activity. AND to account for the growth of the platform, founding members get 50% membership for life!
Our goal is to not only make colorguard more accessible and mainstream, but to also create opportunities for consistent pay for multiple skillsets within the sport.
No more scouring the internet, creating dangerous DIY technique, or struggling to know what you and your guard need.
With modules added monthly, Simply Colorguard is a great place to learn colorguard technique, develop a program, and even figure out all of the resources you need to be successful in the industry!
It’s time to step into the new age of colorguard. Tell your friends, circuits, and instructors. We’ve got an opportunity to lower the barrier to entry. Let’s do this.
